LaBelle Land Clearing · referral service

Frequently asked questions

Do you do the land clearing yourselves?

No. We are a referral service. We pass your request to an independent local land clearing professional, who quotes and does the work directly with you.

How much does land clearing cost in Hendry County?

One local contractor publishes forestry mulching from $3,000 per machine day (skid-steer mulcher) up to $4,000+ for larger machines; many 1–2.5 acre jobs fit in one day. Density, stem size, wet ground and root removal change the price.

Do I need a permit to clear land in Hendry County?

Usually yes for non-agricultural clearing. Hendry County exempts bona fide agricultural clearing and clearing for house pads or development approved through a site plan or subdivision plat. Confirm with the Hendry County Building Department at (863) 675-5245.

What is forestry mulching?

A machine that cuts and grinds trees and brush in place, leaving mulch on the ground — no burn piles or haul-off. It does not remove roots.

When is the best time to clear land here?

The dry season (about November–May) usually gives better equipment access; summer rains can leave low ground and muck too soft for heavy machines.

Is there a fee to use this service?

No. Requests are free for property owners.

Can I clear land with gopher tortoises on it?

Gopher tortoises are protected in Florida. If burrows are present, FWC rules require permitting/relocation by an authorized agent before clearing.
